Museum  conservators Judith Levinson and Karl Knauer use x-rays to investigate  the condition of artifacts, including Tibetan deity figures, to  determine their condition and how they were constructed. In the case of  the bronze figure, the x-ray revealed that the hollow body is made from  sheet metal, while the hands and feet are solid-cast.
